Flatware and dinnerware for 8 people, along with an array of glasses, wine glasses, and coffee mugs, ensure a delightful dining experience for all. We understand the frustration of using dull knives in the kitchen. As fellow cooks and experienced vacation renters ourselves, we provide our guests with a knife sharpener to ensure they have the tools they need for a smooth culinary experience. Please note that while spices and other cooking essentials are not routinely provided, guests are welcome to use any leftover items that previous guests may have left behind. For your convenience, the kitchen is stocked with two rolls of paper towels at the start of your stay and a selection of basic cleaning supplies to help you feel at home. There's a Safeway nearby where guests can easily find everything they need to cook delicious meals.

The high-speed internet base is also centrally located here, providing download speeds up to 500 Mbps and upload speeds up to 20 Mbps throughout the house. The outdoor spaces in our home are some of the best features. Dog approved! The front porch invites you to unwind in two comfy Adirondack chairs, surrounded by majestic redwood trees—a perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee or evening wine in peace.

Out back, the expansive deck connects two bedrooms and the living room, complete with a cozy patio set ideal for lounging. You'll hear the soothing sounds of the nearby creek and water streams, adding to the charm of this special retreat. Know Before You Book

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY AND QUIET HOURS:

The maximum occupancy at Papa’s Creek is 7 and the maximum occupancy at The Creek Loft is 2. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

RENTAL TERMS:

We're unable to accommodate short-term rentals. We are only accepting month-long (30 day minimum) rentals to comply with Sonoma County guidelines and no exceptions can be made for shorter stays. For long term rentals, we can also rent the house unfurnished if that’s desired. We can rent to tenants long-term for multiple months or a yearly lease. Please inquire for more information.

UTILITIES:

For stays of 30 days, we’ll include the costs of utilities (propane, water, electricity, internet) in the rental rate. 

For multiple monthly stays (30+ days), you’ll be responsible for the costs of utilities (propane, water, electricity). Since utility expenses can vary, we can't include them in the monthly rate. We'll take meter readings at your arrival and monthly thereafter to ensure accuracy. Please note, this is a pass-through cost, and we don’t profit from these expenses. Utility payments will be due each month.

MODERN COMFORTS:

We provide high-speed internet for our guests, which is particularly useful since cell phone signal can be spotty here. Connecting to our Wi-Fi ensures reliable connectivity throughout your stay. The home offers Xfinity high-speed internet. However, the house does not have cable television. Our 50” smart TVs are ready for your streaming subscriptions—just log in with your own accounts. Please remember to log out when you depart. 

Additionally, in Papa’s Creek, two of the bedrooms offers a complete workstation setup with a display monitor (with an HDMI adapter), wireless keyboard, and mouse, perfect for those needing to stay connected or work remotely during their visit.  Please note there is not a workstation in The Creek Loft.

PET POLICY:

We love dogs! We have two of them and when we’re living on site, so are they. Our two rescue dogs are mixes: one’s a chihuahua corgi and the other is a chihuahua English spaniel. They’re both friendly. While our home is dog-friendly, approval for your dog’s stay depends on their breed and demeanor so that we can understand how they’ll do with our dogs. There’s a limit of one dog per stay. Our pet fee per stay is $50. Please provide the breed and age of your dog when booking. We appreciate your understanding and will do our best to accommodate your furry friends! 

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we kindly ask that dog owners adhere to the following rules:

  • Please clean up after your dogs both indoors and outdoors responsibly. 

  • Keep dogs off furniture and beds.

  • Guests will adhere to local leash laws. 

  • Uncrated dogs will not be left unattended at the house. 

  • No excessive barking.

So that we can continue welcoming dogs to the house, we ask that you please wipe their paws before entering. Lastly, please note that while the majority of the property has tall privacy fences, the entry to the driveway and property is open.


PARKING:

Off-street parking is available with asphalt parking in front of the house. Between the two dwellings, there are a total of 3 parking spots available to share, with the carport designated for the renters of The Creek Loft. Guests staying in Papa’s Creek can use the driveway for parking. Please note that the garage is off-limits to guests as it is reserved for the owners.

For visitors, there are additional guest parking spots available on the street next to the privacy fence. Kindly ensure that visitor vehicles are parked only in front of the house and not on neighboring properties. RVs, trailers and campers are not permitted to comply with Sonoma County policies. 

SMOKING:

No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

HEAT SOURCE:

The homes are both equipped with heat. Also, there is one gas fireplace and it is in Papa’s Creek.

AIR CONDITIONING:

Neither of the homes have air conditioning. Due to its proximity to the coast and location in the redwoods, evening temperatures typically drop, allowing natural ventilation through open windows to cool the house effectively. All windows are modern and industry-grade, providing excellent insulation. They are equipped with screens to protect against bugs and ensure comfortable airflow throughout the day and night.


NOISE:

Per county ordinance, quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am and no outdoor amplified sound is allowed on the premises at any time. In addition, loud or unruly behavior is restricted by a local ordinance, whether or not the maximum occupancy is exceeded, and may result in citation or arrest by local law enforcement. Guests who continue to engage in excessively loud and unruly behavior after being asked to stop by either law enforcement are also in violation of the ordinance and this agreement, and may be asked to vacate the premises immediately without refund.

WASTE MANAGEMENT:

Garbage and recycling services are managed by Sonoma County Recology. Please note it is the responsibility of the renters to move the trash bins to the street and back for pickup. Trash pickup occurs every Tuesday morning, so please place the bins out on the street by 6:30 a.m. to ensure they are collected, as the waste management trucks arrive promptly at that time. For efficient pickup, ensure that the large waste bins are facing the street so the waste truck’s machinery can easily access them.

Inside the house, you’ll find waste bins in each bathroom for your convenience. In the kitchenS, there are two separate bins: one for regular trash and another for recycling. Proper waste management is crucial not only for keeping the property clean but also for helping us maintain a sustainable environment. We appreciate your attention to these guidelines and thank you for your cooperation.

RING DOORBELL:

We have a Ring doorbell camera installed at the front door of the larger dwelling, to monitor arrivals and departures, and to assist in tracking packages. Please note that there are no other cameras on the premises, ensuring your privacy during your stay.

OUTDOORS:

Our property is nestled in the heart of the redwoods, where being immersed in nature is part of the experience. This means you might encounter birds, bugs, spiders, spider webs, and natural debris such as leaves and tree remnants. While we make every effort to keep the property clean and welcoming, it's important to remember that these elements are a natural part of the woodland environment. Spiders can quickly rebuild their webs in a matter of hours, and redwood trees shed debris regularly. Regardless of how many times we clean them off the porch, they still return. This is a normal part of life in the woods, and we appreciate your understanding as you enjoy the beauty of our natural setting.

Guest Access

GETTING TO THE HOUSE:

Our house is nestled in the woods, accessible via a road with some narrow, one-lane sections. You can find us easily using GPS (Google Maps or Apple Maps). Please drive carefully as the speed limit is 10 mph. While the road has curves and some bumpy spots due to its wooded surroundings, it is suitable for any type of car. The house is less than two miles away from Guerneville’s town center. 

GETTING IN THE HOUSE:

Entry to the house is seamless with our keyless entry system, ensuring a convenient and hassle-free arrival experience.


CREEK ACCESS:

Guests are hereby informed that the property includes waterfront access to a creek, demarcated by a fence and gate along the property line. Accessing the creek is entirely at the guest's discretion and risk. By utilizing the creek, guests explicitly release the hosts from any liability, acknowledging that any activities in or near the creek are undertaken solely at their own risk.

OWNER’S ACCESS:

Guests have access to all areas of the property except for the detached garage which is utilized by the owners. Both units are available for rent. If one of the units are not rented, we the owners occasionally reside on site. We respect guests' privacy and are available as needed to ensure a pleasant stay. We look forward to welcoming you!

  • Please refrain from hosting parties, gatherings, events, or creating excessive noise. The maximum occupancy limit is strictly enforced; exceeding it may result in significant fines or a request to vacate the property immediately without refund.

  • Guests must be at least 22 years of age to book our accommodation.

  • No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

  • Observe quiet hours between 10pm and 8am. This property is in a residential neighborhood. We ask that you please keep outside voices to a whisper and have no amplified music playing during that time.

  • The maximum number of automobiles is 3. Please park thoughtfully as parking is limited in the neighborhood, and some seemingly available spots may belong to neighboring houses. We provide guidance on parking locations, so if you're unsure, please don't hesitate to ask. Please note that RVs and trailers are not permitted.

  • This home is dog-friendly. Please adhere to all pet rules (listed above), leash laws, and ensure you clean up after your dogs. Excessive barking is considered a violation, so if your dog tends to bark, please make alternative arrangements for their care. If you have a pet other than a dog, kindly inquire before booking.

  • Due to California's wildfire risk, outdoor solid fuel fires, including campfires and bonfires, are strictly prohibited to ensure everyone's safety and to protect the environment.

About the Owners

We love living in Northern California. Combined we’ve been here for over two decades, and feel very fortunate to be part of the communities of Guerneville and San Francisco. Guerneville is an incredibly special and unique place. The people are kind-hearted, eclectic, and community-focused. Its charm is enhanced by locals and visitors alike. 

The Pacific’s scenic coastline is just a short drive away and we have numerous wineries to choose from across Sonoma County. We’ve traveled to many parts of the world, and we still consider this area one of the most beautiful. We have a deep appreciation for the redwoods, ocean, and countryside. It feels like a blessing to call this unique town and property home and we look forward to sharing it with you.
